Beaufort is a small, antebellum  town located on the banks of the Beaufort river.  The beautiful, old Oaks have presided over this little gem for hundreds of years.  Beaufort is located just an hour south of Charleston, SC and 45 minutes north of Savannah, GA.  The water and marsh vistas are awe inspiring.  Enjoy an afternoon walking the streets of downtown and then enjoy a refreshment overlooking Waterfront Park and the Beaufort river.  There are several water front restaurants to please the palate whether it is a steak or shrimp and grits.  If you want to experience the southern lifestyle there is not a better place to be.
